Merit Medal recipients for HIPA’s Seventh Season announced

17 photographers recognised for their submissions in ‘The Moment’ season

 

 

 

The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) has announced its ‘Merit Medal’ recipients for the recently concluded seventh season, ‘The Moment’. Seventeen total photographers will be recognised for their submissions across the season’s four categories and will receive HIPA Merit Medals as well as a copy of HIPA’s annual book, ‘The Moment’.

 

Commenting on this announcement, the Secretary General of HIPA, His Excellency Ali bin Thalith said, “The HIPA Merit Medals are a      token of appreciation to those photographers who reached the final stages of judging with their stunning submissions. From the seventeen total recipients, three were from ‘The Moment’ category, four from the ‘Portfolio’ category, three from the ‘Time-lapse’ category and finally seven in total from the ‘General’ category (3 colour and 4 black and white). It is worth noting that the HIPA Merit Medals were designed by HIPA Board of Trustees member, His Excellency Matar bin Lahej.”

HIPA recently concluded its seventh season ‘The Moment’ with a stunning award ceremony held at the Dubai Opera on the 12^th of March 2018.
